After a simple breakfast of bread in our suite, we left Launceston to head towards St Helens. Our first stop of the morning was Bridestowe Lavender Farm, which is just about half an hour's drive away.
As you step through the doors, you are hit with that sweet, oh-I-so-want-to-lie-down-and-sleep-now aroma. The quality of lavender oils beats those you get from other places, so we bought loads of stuff.
We had morning tea at the little café. It was beautiful food. I don't normally like lavender ice cream because of the zingy after taste, but this was the best lavender ice cream I had had yet. The kids loved the lavender flavoured pancakes.
Around the shop is a little garden, and there was much activity that day.
Yes, I know, butterflies and bees, where is the lavender?
Unfortunately, it was the wrong season. But can you imagine the views and the smells when these rows are all purple? *heaven*
