Seagull and dolphin watching at Port Stephens
When we went dolphin watching at Port Stephens, the seagulls decided to accompany us on the way out. And since we were on the top deck, I got a very good view as they floated above and slightly in front of us, just a few feet away.
Now I know why the inspirational posters like to use pictures of birds soaring. It seems so effortless and graceful.
A few were directly above us.
We also succeeded at what we were there for - spotting dolphins. The first school we spotted was near the shore, and the lucky beach goers got a better view of the dolphins than we did.
But we found some further out. Here is the arch with the fin!
