A feather in my...

We regularly see large feathers along the walkways. The kids have taken to treating them like treasures, picking them up when they see them, and imagining there is a trail of feathers that they can follow to find the bird that lost it.

Number One likes to flit around with one in hand, saying, "As light as a feather, as light as a feather..." (think a scene from Horton hears a Who)

Yesterday, Number Two had found a feather on the road. As usual, he shouted, "A feather!" and pounced on it.

And then he picked it up...

And then he put the feather in his mouth, apparently in a nod to a scene from Rio.

Altogether now: "Ewwwwww!"
