After the rain...

It's been raining non-stop for a day. Rain here doesn't pour with the tenacity it does in Malaysia, where everything becomes a blurr of water. Here, heavy means big but more sparse, droplets. More often, it's a consistent drizzle that stretches for hours on end.

I don't mind the rain as much as I do the endless grey skies. They are so depressing.
Then the rain paused and the sun peeked out for a bit. I went out to the balcony, relieved at the sight of light. And I saw the galah sharing my sentiments.

I've been trying to photograph them for a while. The first time I saw them, there were a pair, which bobbed up and down in sync, just like a pair of lovebirds. But whenever they visit, they are always on that faraway tree, just out of the capabilities of my zoom. Unlike my regular visitor, the sulphur-crested cockatoo, these galah cockatoos stick to only tree. Maybe its colours complement it?

Number Two noticed another fellow celebrating the let-up of the rain.
